who the hell is Jay ?

Jay is a self-taught creative leader with a passion for art, design, and automotive storytelling. Between 2015 and 2019, he worked in Sri Lanka on campaigns for brands including Land Rover, Jaguar, and SriLankan Airlines, winning multiple awards at Cannes Lions and other international creative festivals.

 

In 2019, Jay moved to Dubai to pursue his passion for the automotive industry. As an Art Director at RAPP Middle East, he has led winning pitches and produced world-class campaigns for Mercedes-Benz, MG, Exeed Motors, and Waitrose. For Porsche Middle East with KEKO, he secured the pitch against major global agencies, which has now been renewed for another five years, and grew their social media from zero to 70,000 followers on Instagram and 90,000+ on LinkedIn within a year.

Jay is highly experienced in production, combining deep knowledge of cars and automotive culture with expertise in luxury fashion. He runs his own automotive-inspired luxury clothing brand, giving him a unique perspective on style, design, and brand storytelling. This experience allows him to execute cinematic campaigns and complex productions at any scale with precision, creativity, and authenticity.

Jayana was introduced to me as an energetic young creative with unparalleled enthusiasm for new ideas. His constant drive to come up with fresh ideas was magnificent. More importantly, he worked hard to bring those ideas to the final stage. He is a brilliant student of life, always willing to challenge the tradition. His knowledge about current trends in the ad industry and design industry is not common even in his seniors. He is an excellent team player.

His creative achievements within this short period is a definite sign of greatness. He is a unique Creative with lots of positive energy and vibes. He always brings fresh ideas to the table and never reluctant to ditch them and start again. His ideas helped us to raise the bar in our department. He has awards and titles. On top of that, he did some of the best creative work during his tenure at Leo Burnett inspiring young and old alike. I wish Jayana the very best in his future endeavors.
